Pre- and Post- Surgery Hypnosis Package
Surgery or any other invasive medical procedures causes a lot of stress in our lives because of the: -fear of the unknown, -pain, -anesthesia, -postoperative recovery, -possible complications, etc.
Research shows that hypnosis can dramatically reduce some of these stresses, improve outcomes and speed up healing. Having gone through 26 surgeries myself after my near-death accident, I know the power of hypnosis first hand. During 4 yrs of my healing journey I have developed a 2 session hypnotic tool to help others before and after medical procedures.

How It Works
Hypnosis is not magic, but a psychological intervention. Each session will include:
- Induction of focused attention and relaxation, getting you into a deep state of trance, where you are still awake and aware but can easily talk to your body and influence its processes
- Suggestions oriented toward reducing anxiety, pain perception, enhancing coping, obtaining most desired outcomes and creating speedy recovery
- Recordings that you can listen to on your own
Studies show that hypnosis can influence both psychological and physiological pathways: it reduces stress and anxiety, which in turn reduces sympathetic nervous system activation; it changes perception of pain (modulates how painful stimuli are interpreted); it may reduce requirements for anesthesia or analgesic medications; and has the potential to influence healing (wound healing, immune function, calming down swelling, etc.) via reduced stress, better rest, etc.
Key Benefits: What Evidence Shows
A growing body of randomized controlled trials (RCTs), meta-analyses, and case studies indicates that hypnosis can help in several domains of pre-, intra-, and post-operative care.
- ReducinPreoperative Anxiety
- A randomized trial found that patients who received hypnosis before surgery had significantly less anxiety compared to attention control and standard care groups.
- A meta-analysis of eight studies (1,242 breast cancer patients) found that preoperative hypnosis significantly reduced preoperative anxiety.
- Reducing Pain During and After Surgery
- The same breast cancer meta-analysis showed hypnosis reduced postoperative pain levels.
- A broader meta-analysis of 34 RCTs (2,597 patients) found hypnosis had a moderate effect on reducing procedural pain.
- Reducing Use of Anesthetics, Sedatives, Analgesics
- In gynecological day-case operations, brief preoperative hypnotic induction led to decreased anesthetic requirements and reduced anxiety.
- In minimally invasive procedures, hypnotic analgesia plus conventional medications reduced consumption of analgesics by 21–86% compared to standard care.
- Improving Physiological and Recovery Outcomes
- Hypnosis may help stabilize vital signs, reduce blood loss, and accelerate recovery.
- In pediatric superficial surgeries, hypnosis reduced hospital stay and post-anesthesia recovery time.
- Enhancing Psychological Well-Being
- In patients awaiting breast biopsy, presurgery hypnosis significantly reduced distress, depression, and anxiety, while increasing relaxation.
- Pilot studies in spinal surgery suggest hypnosis improves preoperative stress, postoperative quality of life, and pain control.
- Other Benefits
- In atrial fibrillation ablation, hypnosis led to reduced anxiety and a perception of shorter procedure time.
Some studies suggest reductions in postoperative nausea and vomiting.
