Shadow Work involves a process of psychological exploration to uncover and integrate the parts of ourselves we are consciously or unconsciously suppressing or denying. These parts, also known as the inner shadow, mostly consist of emotions, desires, and traits we view as negative based on what we learn from others.
“Shadow work” is not for weak at heart. We will be diving into the darker, often unexplored parts of our personality-traits and emotions we might avoid or deny (that part of ourselves that Carl Jung called “shadow self.” However, when we meet these hidden aspects, we achieve greater self-awareness and personal growth. It can help you break through the negative patterns you have been stuck in for years without any success to break free.
